Happy Extra Day of the Year!

Connor and Daddy painted the trim down in the "toy room" today!...a bit of brown paint of the carpet and Connor's hair, but it all turned out very nice........after the stair well doors, the walls are next!

Olivia's first pony tail....this was actually from Sunday going to church....she liked her "pretty" I caught her tonight at church putting my rosary around her neck and saying "pretty."
The finished work shop....Paul made a stool just for Connor so that he can reach the bench..nice job Paul!
I'm packaging up these two cuties and someone may be getting a great surprise! Nah, not really....that's what Connor and I teased each other while the three of us played with the popcorn from some of our packages.
It was a bit messy, but they had a blast and really it was an easy clean up!
They played with the popcorn for almost 45 minutes, it looked so fun I joined in too!
OOps, another picture of the painters.......can't wait to transform that room......!

Olivia's words for the week: Chocit= Chocolate
First sentence: "Puppy eats cereal," while she was pretend feeding her stuffed puppy and laughing.
First expression: "All Right!"
After we prayed at lunch and at church, Olivia now shouts, "AMEN!" and repeats it many times...I'm glad we were in the cry room at church tonight, otherwise we might have had a few eyes look our way.
I hear Olivia loves to feed Marin her food, I suppose she was wondering what that baby food was all about, and thought here give her the real stuff!....only if she knew she had it too!
Connor had an excellent report at his parent/teacher conference Thursday, so we celebrated with a pizza party ("Dominoes 5 bucks") and he got a coupon to go bowling and he can redeem it when he wants to/and when are schedules want to!
I'm just so darn proud of my family, they really are the sunshine in my life!

Snow Much FUN!

38 degrees today, quite warm out! We took full advantage and played in the snow for almost an hour. The kids got sled rides from Mommy, while Mommy got a good cardio work out!
We initially were going to make a snowman, but then it started to look like a care bear, so we went with it.....grabbed some food coloring and here is our Snow Bear. This was Connor's idea of posing with the Snow Bear!
I used chocolates for it's nose and eyes, I wonder how long they will exist on the bear? We have rabbits, sunshine, and a neighbor cat....who will get to them first?
We decided to put an imprint of a heart in the snow bear's tummy, that's how care bears are.......
One last sled ride and in for Hot cocoa!

Project time!

This past week, Paul has been busy at it......he is making his own little work shop in the nook and cranny of our wasted space that comes off of the laundry room. It all started when I bought shelves and he assembled them and then organized all the painting supplies and his tools.......and then he was on his way. He made new light access and outlet in that room, all by himself but after watching his Dad do it a few times. He's been sawing and hammering and assembling a work-bench...here's what it looks like so far, still has the pegboard to hang up............meanwhile, Connor and I've been peeling off wall paper in the toy room, we're all finished and ready for paint! Our shelves are in, and our wall pegboards are in too!

Yesterday's entertainment for 30 minutes was bubbles! Connor blew them and Olivia laughed and giggled and Tatum snipped and snapped at them....it was so fun watching them have fun!

Olivia's words for the week: Milk, Grannum, then she did say Grama, Mario, Ligi, Agee and Chis, Yucky, and snackies!
That's about all, the week went very, very fast........ we're enjoying the warmer temperatures today and all the sunshine!

Road Trip

Monkey see, Monkey do!
Olivia had to copy Connor by placing her ni-ni behind her head too! Welcome baby Jackie!
The noisy kids didn't startle her a bit!
Sent from Heaven!

Yesterday, the Roberts Family took a road trip down to K.C. to visit their new niece/cousin.
They fell in love instantly with Jacqueline Jo....who slept most of the time they were there. She is the cutest little peanut. Proud Mommy and Daddy are doing great and getting sleep? Those lucky ducks have an angel baby on their hands! The Roberts family are glad they made the road trip yesterday, because the roads are not advisable to drive on today..........!!! More Snow!

This week in a Nutshell!

Aunt Cindy gave Olivia a Fairy outfit...Olivia loves it! She loves to tickle her face with her wand!
Here's another love of Olivia's: ELMO!
Checking out her new wand; look at that serious face!
This was from last night, I get home and it's almost 1am and both the kids are awake...I put them in bed while I got my jammies on and they looked so cute snuggling together, it was a picture op.....I rocked Olivia and placed her back in her crib to sleep and Connor wanted to do the "Rosemary" with me and then he fell asleep. He's getting good! He knows bits of the "Our Father" and bits of the "Hail Mary"
This is just the pretty icicles that are on our roof, depicting the cold weather that we are still enduring....(and maybe a hint that we need new gutters!) when will winter end??
Avery, Elijah, and Connor in play mode
Lauren found a nice seat! Olivia and Connor busy at it.
Avery and Connor are sleeping in their "bunk beds" while Elijah looks on.
