An Amazing Christmas #7!

Dec.29th.2007: Mehmen Christmas
This was a weekend that consisted of playing on the four-wheeler, sledding and playing in the snow.........big high light for Connor...Miss O was a bit fussy, but her 1st year molars were pushing through (all four of them) and so that was probably the reason. She was excited to see Emma in person, since she knows her name very well.

Jaydin and the boys playing on the rock.

Connor sliding down the big "Mountain" that Grandpa scooped with his loader.

Austin, where are you?

Connor is concentrating on opening his gift

(I think I saw him dab a tear....he's a pretty sentimental guy)

John and Jolyn are excited about their diapers and onesies for Baby Kennedy..........

Ahhh, sisterly love. Heather and Krystin......let's blow up this picture...I bet it doesn't happen too much!

Olivia had to groom herself for the party, trying to perfect her part.

Alex shines a smile while she gets
her annual christmas picture taken.

Emma loved her baby dollies and was very protective of them....she's going to be such a good Momma!

Jake looks comfortable sitting in his box and opening presents.

That night there was a heavy fog and the next day was a beautifl thick frost on the trees and icicles.

An Amazing Christmas #6!

The day after Christmas, we had the opportunity to go to Grandma and Grandpa Roberts' house and have lunch with John and Sarah. It was nice to see them and hang out with them for the afternoon. Now that they are not working on the cruise ship anymore, (I know, what an AMAZING experience that had to have been and how nice it looks on the resume'!)hopefully we'll get to hang out with them more. We're happy that they selected Omaha for their place of settlement, so they are only a few hours away. We're looking forward to making up for the two years that flew by so fast and catching up with their lives.

Darn! I forgot to bring my camera and snap pictures, probably because I had to go to work right after our lunch......sorry there aren't any pictures to share.......:(

Twas' the Night Before Christmas...........

Connor is writing a note to Santa, it reads; "Santa, Connor. Remember the Car Ramp. Dad dont eat the cookies." Connor wrote what is in red and Mommy wrote the rest.

Connor sprinkled a mix on the sidewalk; glitter for the reindeer to see where to go and oatmeal to nibble on. He left Santa a rootbeer and cookies.

Connor winks with approval as he is ready for Santa and then climbs into bed with Grandma Roberts to read "The Night Before Christmas" and snuggles in with Mommy to read "The Polar Express."

Olivia didn't participate in this activity, she crashed the minute we got back to Great Grandma Donna's house.

An Amazing Christmas #4!

Olivia was quite the act Christmas eve. ..........

Christmas Eve, we went to Mass at 4pm and then celebrated Christmas with the Schnieder's.
We always love the Christmas Eve appetizers. This year Great Aunt Bess hosted the party. Connor fell in love with the pool table in the basement and the cue that was "just my size!"

The Roberts Family Posing by the tree.

Connor played pool with his Birthday Buddy; Bret
(that's a unique hold on the cue....maybe that's how Connor beat him "64-20")

Birthday Buddies!
Connor and Bret share the same Birthday.

On December 24th, we journeyed to Moline, IL to stay the night with Great Grandma Donna. The Saturday before, there was quite a storm that hit the state....on our way to Moline, we counted 88 cars in the ditches! I think there were more but they were being towed that day of our travel. I just hope that everyone was safe getting out of those cars............

An Amazing Christmas #2!

We celebrated Our Christmas on Sunday, December 23rd. Again, we heard Connor state that everything was "Amazing!" and he couldn't wait to open up his spiderman presents.

Our 1st Christmas was the Roberts' Christmas at our house on Dec. 21st. Paul made his infamous pizza's (BBQ Chipotle Chicken & Chicken Alfredo) Connor claimed that everything was amazing! (Even his underwear and chapstick!) The other quote from Connor was, "Mom, I see all those presents and I just get so excited!"
