It has been awhile since Paul and I have gone on a date. We even missed our anniversary this year because I was sick with the flu. Nevertheless, we were way passed due for a date. I just asked once last week if he was going to take me on a date. Then I followed up with a passage that I was reading from the book "Fireproof Your Life" by Michael Catt. A chapter is dedicated to fireproofing your marriage. It states as the #1 bullet: Husbands, take your wife out on a date regularly. Plan it, prepare for it and court her the way you did when you were dating.
Friday, he called me from work and told me we had a date on Sunday at 3pm until 6pm, making sushi! I was totally impressed, I would be happy with a dinner and a movie. I was so giddy, just like I was when we dated. I told Miss-O and she was excited and thought she got to go on the date too. I told C-man and at first he thought I had a boyfriend, but when he found out it was Dad taking me out, he says, "I want to take my wife out on a date and make sushi too, that's so cool!"
So tonight we had our date and it was so cool!
We made sushi for an army! C-man was excited to eat sushi when we got home....and the rest, well, Paul might have to take it to work....I'm sure everyone will be so sad about that. HA!
