Yummy Painting!

Miss-O loves the idea of finger painting with chocolate pudding!
I remember when C-man did this in pre-school, he loved it!
Indy loves it too!

A beautiful Chocolate creation!

Winter Sun Catchers

Family Fun Magazine has not failed us yet! We love getting ideas from this magazine.
Yesterday, Miss-O and I froze water in a cake pan, she picked red and blue for food coloring. Then, we added a plastic cup full of water to have a hole for the ribbon.
Today, the ice came out of the pan okay, but the cup needed a little budge with some warm water. Ooops! I see the directions say to to freeze for an hour, now half a day!
It still turned out pretty cool!
I wonder if it'll last the day, the snow has been melting????
This is C-man's Sun Catcher in line to be hung up soon (or maybe tomorrow)
After thinking about this, I could have used my bundt cake pan, a heart shaped cake pan, or any shape really, just make sure to have a hole to hang the ribbon from it.

New Hobby!

Paul's new past-time is blowing snow!
We've hit 62 inches and need 10 more to meet the record in 1910.
I wonder if there were floods of 1910 too?
I've already decided I'm buying rainboots (and CUTE ones too,) because it's going to be a wet spring!

The Drive is almost done, then time to do the corner sidewalk!
Something we didn't take into consideration when we bought our home.
Our south street is busy and the snow plows push the most tenacious snow on our side-walk.
Thank goodness for our blower, our first year Paul was shoveling by hand. YUCK!
Because we are good neighbors and like to do good deeds, we do our neighbor's sidewalk that lives to the north of us. (Unless Paul can't feel his feet or hands anymore!)
I think I'd rather push a lawn mower than a snow-blower.
How about you?

LegoRama!

LegoRama
at the Library today!
A dream come true for C-man!
He and his Lego Buddies building and creating!

The Creation!

I guess there's an actual club in our city, but you have to be in 3rd-5th grade.
They use robotics and everything!
So now we're home and the kids are playing, nonetheless: LEGOS!

(p.s. Legos has been a great outlet for C-man's "electronic" withdrawals. He gave up all electronics for Lent. He hasn't watched T.V. unless it's the news or Olympics. No Wii, No DS, and no Computer at home. 36 m0re days!)

Dearest Snow......

Dearest Snow,

We've been together now for awhile and things have been good. However, lately it just doesn't feel right. I think we may have grown apart. Don't get me wrong, I really was excited to see you when you first came, I even had butterflies in my stomach. But now the thrill is gone and well, it's just been really mundane with you in my life. You do have a personality that is light and fluffy. However, you can be way to heavy to handle and sometimes grow icy and cold. You have a way of glittering and sparkling, then there's just this dull side of you as well. We've had some good times. Don't worry about the kids, I know they love you, they love to play with you and are totally fascinated with you. But I'll tell them the truth, that it's just time to move on and go our separate ways. I think it's fair that I stay where I am, I've been here before you, so you must leave. You will be fine without us. We will have our memories and that will be nice to cherish.
So now is the time to come out and tell you; I'm breaking up with you!

Sincerely,
Someone who is incompatible and intolerant of Snow.

Bible Talk

Me, while reading last week's scriptures: "Paul, did you know how John the Baptist died?"

Paul: "I don't know."

C-man interjects: "He got his head cut off, and they served it on a plate and people ate it."

Me: "How did you know that?" surprised.

C-man: "Oh, I was looking at the Bible stories at RE and I saw the picture of it and read about it."

Me: "Wow, that totally amazes me that you remembered that." and then I read the passage from the Bible, and the rest of the Gospel.

C-man: "Mom, read more!"

I Love how he hides that he doesn't "get" anything from RE and then blows us away with that type of information........you are a good man, C-man!

When God gives you snow, make a snowman!

Friday afternoon, after we picked up C-man from school, the snow was ideal for snow-man building and that we did. C and I rolled the balls and then out came O to help decorate the snowman.....FINALLY, the right kind of snow to make a snow-man, we've been waiting!

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Her Prince Charming has arrived and she's receiving her FIRST wrist corsage!
"I've found my Prince Charming, his name is Daddy!"
Admiring her corsage
Posing at the Dance!
Dancing Queen! Twirling her dress!
What a fun night for Daddy and Miss-O. They danced, ate finger foods and got their picture taken professionally (like prom!). Miss-O said she felt like a princess last night!

Energy!

C-man and I had a date since Daddy and Miss-O had a date......the little man gave me some flowers......I love his face! (I wonder if he'll be this excited when he goes on his first real date!)
The "Walk of Fame"! After first quarter, C-man and the other kids walked around the basketball court for acknowledging the camp he participated in. Curtis Stinson was one of the players that volunteered his time to teach the kids.

Half-time performance! Kids ages 5-12 doing all kinds of spinning. Spinning while doing somersaults, while doing one handed push-ups, while hula-hooping...we were quite entertained with this group!
We had awesome seats!

The 99th point was just scored with a free-throw....this is how C was during the game...he was WAY into it!
The score! We won and if Energy hits 100, the fans get free whoppers (in a coupon form)
C-man made sure he got one from the cute cheerleader!
C's highlight was the last point, a 3 pointer shot with 3 seconds left on the clock!
I was impressed with the behind the back passes and slam dunks!
