AHA! Mystery Solved!

We have a queen sized bed. It fits Paul and I JUST right. For the past 6 years, we've had to share the bed with C-man. I know mostly our fault, but you do what you do to get some shut eye! For the last month, we've had another visitor, Miss-O. Usually everyone starts off in their own bed, but by daybreak, everyone is in our bed. Now, we have evidence! Take a look and see what's been going on in the wee-night hours.........

Indy sleeping in O's toddler bed!
Tatum sleeping in C-man's bed!

GOTCHA! I think the dogs have been kicking the kids out of their beds, it's the only reason I can think of why our kids are still coming to our bed..........okay, not really but we joked about it last night. We were all having a "sleep-over" in the kids' room and the dogs invited themselves into the cozy beds.....when we found them in the beds we started to joke that is why the kids come into our room at night, it's the dogs! Maybe you'll get it and maybe not, maybe it's one of those inside jokes that our family will always remember and laugh about!

Spelling Practice & Fun!

C-man is starting to have spelling tests at school. His teacher suggested taking shaving cream and having the child use their finger to trace the word in it. GENIUS! Sensory learning & kinetic learning wrapped up into one! So we went through the spelling words he needed to know for the week and afterwards, he and his sister had fun with the foamy mess! Maybe next time Mommy won't use so much shaving cream!

Pumpkin Hunt!

HOWELL'S PUMPKIN FARM

"Hey there little buddy!" 3 kids enjoying each other.

"Follow us, we know the way..."

"I found the perfect pumpkin!"

C-man's favorite part of the day: the bunnies
O's favorite part of the day: the bumpy & speedy slide
Dad's favorite part of the day: hay ride
Mom's favorite part of the day: hay ride & corn maze!

Poor Tatum:(

Paul announced his concern today that he believes that Tatum is depressed. He wants to take her to the vet and get her on some anti-depressants. I know that she is presenting some signs and symptoms of depression, but I'm having a hard time thinking about spending money on drugs to elevate my dog's mood.

I can just see the Vet's history notes on Tatum:

This is a 4 year old (28 year old in human years) female, black lab. She presents today with irritability, sleeping a lot, and not being herself lately. This has been going for on approximately, the last month. Her eating habits are not altered. Poor historian on client's thoughts of harming herself or others. Poor historian of subjective thoughts of fatigue or an alter of doing activities of daily living; however the owners note that she is sleeping more than she usually does and does not want to play. Owners also note that she is chewing on her feet more than usual for this time of the year.

Allergies: NKDA
Medical Hx: No apparent medical hx, with the exception of client being overweight and sports a sedentary lifestyle.
Medications: Client is up on her vaccinations and does not take any medications, over the counters, or herbs/vitamins.
Social Hx: Client has a 5month old brother, yellow lab, that was introduced into the family in July. Client also has one human brother, one human sister, and human parents. They all live together in one household. Client is a professional house dog. Client's brother is being trained for the profession of hunting dog.
Surgical Hx: Spayed/Neutered 2005
Impression: Pt. with flat affect, at times growls and snaps at siblings and parents, Signs of irritability, sleepiness noted and appears melancholy. Sensing some jealousy issues with client's younger dog brother.
Plan:
Daily walking regimen
Continue with home feeding regimen
Encourage play times bid
Encourage pats & tummy rubs four times a day and prn
Follow up in 2weeks, if there is no sign of progress, then start with an SSRI like Prozac and consult the Dog Whisperer.

What a Lovely Weekend!

Jill & Tony's Wedding

The Happy Couple!
C-man was a danching machine! This picture depicts that he was a blur when dancing, he went full speed for the 3 full hours......dancing with such emotion, animation, excellent moves and sliding on the floor, break dancing on the floor, and the best move is sliding on his back playing air guitar! I asked him the next day where he got all his moves, he replied, "sponge Bob, Mom, he knows how to rock out!"
The Wilson Family lookin' sharp in their fall colors!
My adorable kids enjoying dancing with each other......this is getting blown up and will be flashed to them when they start to argue or say they "hate" each other.....deep down...they really love each other and adore each other....just look at this pic!
C-man is 'The Man"
After practicing and attempting to curl miss-O's hair for the past month and a half. My M-I-L, Michelle and I decided to do this with her hair, I did the rubber-banding and she did the ribbons.......and it turned out pretty darn good for her fine, straight hair!
Tribolet Family enjoying the reception. The party favors were lottery cards and little bear won a free card! Paul won 4$! What a cool idea for party favors!
The Dancing Queens.....give them music and a floor and they will dance the night away. They even forgot to eat! Why eat when you can dance?! There were two other girls that danced with them and it was adorable how the four of them mingled and socialized instantly.
I've found my prince, his name is Daddy!
At the rehearsal dinner, Miss-O got a cross necklace and she instantly fell in love with it!
My favorite part of the weekend was seeing the family, watching my kids enjoy the wedding thoroughly, and witnessing Tony and Jill's love and commitment for one another! As Tony says in his facebook status: "That's a Winner!"
