C-man is starting to have spelling tests at school. His teacher suggested taking shaving cream and having the child use their finger to trace the word in it. GENIUS! Sensory learning & kinetic learning wrapped up into one! So we went through the spelling words he needed to know for the week and afterwards, he and his sister had fun with the foamy mess! Spelling Practice & Fun!
C-man is starting to have spelling tests at school. His teacher suggested taking shaving cream and having the child use their finger to trace the word in it. GENIUS! Sensory learning & kinetic learning wrapped up into one! So we went through the spelling words he needed to know for the week and afterwards, he and his sister had fun with the foamy mess! I love it! Sidewalk chalking the words on the driveway/back steps seems to be another fun way to learn. We also found that using a dry erase board and marker to practice is more fun than paper and pencil. On occasion Jaydin has protested writing the words 3 times each and would use sign language to practice so she didn't have to write or speak. Whatever it takes right?!!!
